.Early this morning, the Super Falcons stormed the National Assembly to protest the non-payment of their promised match bonuses and allowances after winning the AWCON tournament in Cameroon.
The Nigerian Football Federation have insisted that they cannot pay the champions because of the economic downturn.
Many Nigerians have seen this situation as an injustice and a lack of sensitivity. Despite the economic recession, lawmakers in Nigeria still receive bogus allowances running into millions of Naira.
